Watermore Primary School

RE

At Watermore Primary we believe it is important for our pupils to learn about religion so that they can understand the world around them. We encourage children to develop the skills and knowledge to understand different religious and non-religious beliefs, values and traditions. We aim to promote respect and open mindedness towards others with different world views, and encourage children to develop their own sense of identity and belonging through self awareness and reflection. We encourage children to create and answer challenging questions, and develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues.  We follow the locally agreed scheme. RE lead is Joanna Gilchrist. Please contact her via the school office if you wish to discuss our RE offer further.
