At Watermore Primary we understand that PE plays an essential part in all aspects of learning and development. Each class has 2 hours of high quality PE per week and in addition we provide multiple sports clubs and the opportunity to have a physically active lunch time by utilising our Sports Coaches. The curriculum is set up to make sure all children can be included. Cluster and local school events are planned so all children have the opportunity to represent the school. We are mindful that some groups can drop out of additional sports activities as they move to KS3. We offer specific opportunities to target these groups e.g. girls’ football club. By allowing children to ‘experience more’ through our wider curriculum we hope that children leave us with the mind-set that being physically active is a way of life.
