Co-opted Governors required for our outstanding school, click here for more information
On behalf of our children, staff and governors, it is my pleasure to welcome you
to our website. We hope that this will give you a taste
of our happy, industrious school. It should now be easier to find all the information
that you need, but if there is something you cannot find, please get in touch.
Watermore Primary School opened in January 2011, after the amalgamation of two highly successful schools, Brockeridge Infants School and Highcroft Junior School. The school remains on the two sites, but our aim is for the whole school to be based on one site within the next few years.
Our school is a happy place, where children feel motivated and enthusiastic about their learning. Everyone at Watermore is immensely proud of our school and we were delighted to be judged by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ in May 2012. Watermore is a caring school with a team of dedicated professionals here to ensure that the children get the most from their education. Our staff support all children to achieve at the highest level they can academically and they have an equal commitment to the children’s emotional and social development.
Our school is all about learning. If things don't improve learning (and we don't have to do them) we don't! All involved at Watermore work very hard to make our school a safe and creative place for the children to flourish and grow. Our emphasis is on developing skills and teaching children how to improve their own learning and how to live harmoniously with others. We provide a range of opportunities for children, including school based workshops, trips, sports and music. We have a multitude of lunch-time and after school clubs, including many organised by pupils.
Children develop best when we in school work with parents, promoting the same values and sharing their progress. We try our best to listen, to understand and to act on worries and concerns. School staff are always available to discuss any aspect of your child's education. We operate an 'open-door' policy. If you have any queries or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact your child's class teacher. You can also contact me at any time, in person, by phone or using the 'Contact Us' page on the website.
Visitors to the school are always welcome, so if you would like to meet me, the staff and children, please contact us to arrange a convenient time. I feel privileged to be Watermore’s first headteacher. We are very proud of our school – come along and see why.
