Welcome to Watermore’s website. We hope that this will give you all the information that you need and give you a flavour of what Watermore has to offer.
Watermore Primary School opened in January 2011, after the amalgamation of two highly successful schools, Brockeridge Infants School and Highcroft Junior School. The school remains on the two sites, but our aim is for the whole school to be based on one site within the next few years.
Both previous schools have been judged by Ofsted to be good with outstanding features. Highcroft was commended in 2010 as one of the top 100 schools nationally in terms of the progress made by pupils by the end of the primary phase. The staff of the two schools have come together with complete commitment to maintaining all that has been successful in the past whilst building a new and exciting future for Watermore.
Our school is a happy place, where children feel motivated and enthusiastic about their learning, and they are proud of their school. Our staff support all children to achieve at the highest level they can academically and have an equal commitment to the children’s emotional and social development.
We provide a range of opportunities for children, including school based workshops, trips, sports and music. We have a multitude of lunch-time and after school clubs, including many organised by pupils.
Visitors to the school are always welcome, so if you would like to meet me, the staff and children, please contact us to arrange a convenient time. I feel privileged to be Watermore’s first headteacher. We are very proud of our school – come along and see why.
Mrs Janet Hoyle - Headteacher
